Luxy was the first lamp in the Rotaliana catalogue, designed in 2002: a model that is both original and familiar. It introduced elements in plastic material together with glass and metal and recalled the historical models of table lamps with balanced movements. It used both hidden springs and friction joints and, to make it more domestic, a colored glass hat that partially diffused the light in the room. After almost twenty years, the Luxy family grows: two new models, floor and table, characterized by simplified shapes, for purely domestic use. The hat, the element that most characterizes the Luxy lamp family, is re-proposed in new color variants: gold, copper, smoked.

Base in steel and aluminum, stems in extruded aluminum, joints in die-cast aluminum, reflector in pressed aluminum with steel handle.

In the tilting version, the iconic Tolomeo maintains the system of arms and springs that allows you to move the light in any position with ease but replaces the aluminum head with a balanced diffuser that softly illuminates the whole environment.

A clean design emphasizes the indirect light emitted. The essentiality and verticality are underlined by the front groove.

A long metal rod crosses the soft glass diffuser. The evocative intensity of the simplest and purest forms for a lamp with large dimensions and a sophisticated and discreet presence.

Its body is a steel plate delicately shaped to wrap and direct the indirect light upwards and diffused along the vertical opening of the lamp.

The colors, geometries and details such as the handle make Callimaco one of the emblematic pieces of Sottsass' Radical Design, which brings artistic and conceptual research to everyday objects, transforming them into unconventional works of art.

Base and head with indirect emission are two identical thin discs connected by a stem. Each sign is reduced to a minimum for a timeless object suitable for any space.
