Generated by the repetition of an elementary module, Scopas materializes an incomplete, suspended sphere. With its ever-changing appearance depending on the point of view, it radically moves away from the register of pure and even monotonous forms usually associated with this type of lamp. Like the Black Star of the Empire, frozen in space, its unfinished appearance is the opposite of its technical efficiency.

It synthesizes optical and aesthetic intelligence. Starting from a photo of the moon, a calculation algorithm generates a fractal shape, many small circles that restore the irregular beauty of nature and define a comfortable emission also suitable for work spaces.

The shape of the luminous module is that of Typha Latifolia, the botanical name of the beautiful aquatic plant in the shape of an ear. Each natural brass stem blossoms into an LED light encased in tubular glass.
