Table lamp. Empatia comes from the union between the great tradition of blown glass and Artemide's LED technology. The strong interest in the expressive potential of the material led to collaborate with glass masters, to acquire full control of the particular plasticity of Venetian glass and to work on the balance between surface and light, between subtle densities and transparencies. Transparency and opacity are wisely dosed in order to obtain a glass that reflects and diffuses the light without dazzling, without losing efficiency. The result is an optical machine that has its heart in a high performance LED light engine, which is born separated from the glass emitting body in favor of thermal efficiency and performance. The light is controlled with maximum efficiency and guided to the glass diffuser through a transparent light pipe with a very low absorption coefficient. BULB : Led 26W - 3000K, 1273lm. A cylindrical base welcomes the source, hiding it and supports the blown glass diffuser. Base in steel, body in extruded aluminum, diffuser in opal blown glass with crystal shading.
Bon Ton is a collection of table lamps inspired by pendant earrings. Feminine ornament and refined accessory, the earring is an object which, through the combination of different volumes and materials, lends itself to being declined in different compositions. Within this design scenario, simple shapes and different materials are superimposed to design lamps intended as suspended pieces of jewellery. The elementary volumes superimposed along the cable create micro-architectures in the shape of pendants. The composition closes at the end with a butterfly curl in natural brass, a clear allusion to the design reference.
The structure of the two arms is made with an extruded aluminium. The movement is balanced by the elastic cord, covered in colored synthetic fabric. The base of the table and floor lamps is in aluminum with cast iron ballast. The adjustable head, molded in plastic material, is comfortably gripped using the central hole. The touch switch controls an LED source.
