The shape of these lamps recalls the old candle holders with handles, commonly called in Italian "bugia", a simplified name of the African city Bidgiaya which supplied most of the wax used to make candles! This anecdote today also accompanies the "modern" Bugia: a table or wall lamp with single or double light, as simple as it is ingenious.

Its surface comes alive through the rays of light that emerge from the cuts placed on the front of its structure. Many small holes made through the fold of the sheet let the light escape and reflect it on the fins thus created, making the perception variable depending on the point of view.

The Plié lamp collection comes from a modern reinterpretation of the traditional conical diffuser with a particular pleated effect that recalls the flared skirts of elegant 1950s women's dresses.
