A cylindrical base welcomes the source, hiding it and supports the blown glass diffuser. Base in steel, body in extruded aluminum, diffuser in opal blown glass with crystal shading.

The diffuser is handmade in double-layered artistic glass, obtained with the artisan technique of blowing in a still mold and the consequent grinding, recalling in the final result the ancient Murano technique of wrought glass.

The design of the lampshade (2006) is signed by Luta Bettonica and Mario Melocchi , a tribute to the original project by Franco Bettonica who in 1965 was inspired by origami to create a ceramic vase with an eccentric shape.
